Trainings and workshops

I really enjoy the part of my work that includes sharing what I have learned in practise for over 13 years while working at commercial brands, start-ups and non-profit institutions, like ...

... and many more

In the past years I facilitated several trainings & workshops for brands, institutions, agencies and also eager audiences. Get in touch if you are in need of a facilitator for a UX and Design Thinking training, a Purpose-driven Value Proposition workshop or a Design Sprint.

Training: UX & Design Thinking

How do you create the best possible online experiences for your users? Get inspiration for current and future projects and take the knowledge of your team to a higher level.

In this training we will focus on the empathetic side of UX; how do you design something for people and how do you apply that in the design process?

This training is unique because the theory is explained a.d. real practical examples. I show examples that I have learned, designed or developed for Zalando, T-Mobile, University of Amsterdam, Eye Film Institute and many more.

Workshop: Purpose-driven Value Proposition

What makes employees and customers buy into a company? One of the crucial elements is clear strategy for growth and shared purpose of those involved in company’s operations. In this fast-changing digital era brands and institutes need to redefine their purpose to be able to set long-term goals. Every now and then it is important to make sure the purpose is clear and shared by everyone in the same company.

In this workshop we are going to explore the how, what and why of your company and finding the true purpose for a new long-term (digital) strategy.

Design Sprint

A Design Sprint is a time-constrained, 5 day process that uses design thinking to reduce the risk when bringing a new product, service or a feature to the market. It is a process for answering critical business questions through design, prototyping, and testing ideas with customers.

In this Design Sprint we are going to develop new ideas for a new product or service and design, prototype and test them with your customers.

In need of a 'Design Sprint facilitator' or 'Design Sprint participate' to guide your team through this process?

Emotion-driven Usability Testing

This is my current talk.

In it I cover how you can discover how your users really feel about your digital products. Humans are driven by emotions, so instead of listening to what people say about your product, we can now also see what their emotions are.

I showcase how a sales funnel prototype I designed for T-Mobile was tested with a neurofeedback usability test. What the results were of this test and how I applied these learnings in the final design. Which elements cause frustration, attention, and joy among the customers?

I talked about this before at

Adobe Live Sessions @ Awwwards Conference

(February 15th, 2019)

UX Crunch Amsterdam

(February 14th, 2019)

"Sander facilitated a workshop to brainstorm about the value proposition of our agency. He did a good job facilitating a dialogue about who we are and who we want to be in the future exploring new business models and services. Thanks Sander!"
